Montreal: A destination for Arts and Sports!

Situated on the banks of the St. Lawrence River, Montreal is Quebec’s largest city. Dynamic and modern, it has preserved its architectural heritage and is one of the most important cultural destinations in the province. Everyday the city projects a unique and international identity thanks to its melting pot of nationalities and social spirit. Proud of its many facets, it cultivates a unique identity by fully exploring its cultural and sporting potential. Montreal becomes especially vibrant during the summer months with its numerous festivals.

The heart of Montreal’s artistic scene is located downtown where venues like the Place des Arts in the heart of the Quartier des Spectacles hosts a plethora of annual events. Montreal’s cultural depth can be seen by its wide variety of festivals such as the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival, the Fringe Arts Festival, the International Jazz Festival, and even our very own iF3.

Indeed, ski culture is important in Quebec as it adds excitement and adventure to the winter months. There are multiple ski resorts within 90 minutes of Montreal such as Jay Peak, Bromont, Sutton, and Saint-Sauveur to name a few that allow passionate skiers to access a variety of terrain.

Moreover, the city hosts many other sporting events such as the Montreal Marathon, the Formula 1, and the Rogers Cup tennis. Don’t forget that Montreal also hosted the Summer Olympic Games in 1976! Who knows, someday we may even bring home of the Stanley cup again!

Montreal’s streets are always bustling with activity. Noone remains un-charmed when visiting Montreal.
