A new edition of iF3 is taking place on the October 5th & 6th 2012 in Innsbruck, Austria!

The Innsbruck edition of iF3 is the brain child of Nico Zacek, pro skier and member of The Distillery Concept & Creation GmbH, based in Innsbruck, Austria – the capital of the Alps.

Nico has been a familiar face at iF3 Montreal since its first installment in 2007. Having watched the festival evolve and expand to Annecy, France, Nico jumped on the opportunity bring iF3 to Innsbruck.

Located in a majestic valley in the heart of the Alps, tourism is a major contributor to Innsbruck’s local economy. Winter sports have been a major part of this economic drive for many years. The city hosted the Winter Olympics twice and has become an important contributor to freeski culture.

Since its inception, iF3 has showcased the work of professionals and athletes on both sides of the camera. With this new edition, iF3 aims to further celebrate industry excellence and solidify its global relevance as the leading freeski film festival.

On October 5th and 6th 2012 iF3 Innsbruck will host a number of film screenings with approximately one third of  which will showcase talent from the surrounding areas. iF3 Innsbruck will also include a brand village where festival attendees can see the latest gear, enjoy international live concerts and vibrant parties, use the public air bag, and discover the surprise installations of art & video placed throughout the festival.

The Germanic regions, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Northern Italy, are big influencers and highly important to the world of skiing. iF3 Innsbruck aims to celebrate their unique contribution to the ski community. Come and join the party!
